ST. LOUIS • Work will begin within days on the $78.7 million renovation of Kiel Opera House, a grand but faded Art Deco masterpiece that has sat empty for almost two decades.
Workers will begin asbestos and lead paint removal as early as next week, said Stacy Hastie, president and CEO of Environmental Operations Inc.
