Aldermen overwhelmingly pass Kiel Opera House deal

The $73.5 million deal to renovate and reopen the Kiel Opera House passed a major hurdle Friday when the St. Louis Board of Aldermen voted 25-1 to approve it.

The measure now goes to the desk of Mayor Francis Slay, who has promised to sign it.
